About

A physician, researcher and digital health builder working where clinical practice, evidence and accessible tools meet.

Dr. Taimoor Asghar

Dr. Taimoor Asghar is a medical doctor, researcher, and data scientist working at the intersection of healthcare, research, and technology. His work focuses on turning clinical evidence and research methodology into practical, accessible tools for healthcare professionals, researchers, and students.

Medicine, evidence, and practical technology

Dr. Taimoor Asghar has a strong interest in public health, medical education, student wellbeing, clinical decision support, and digital research tools. His work brings together medicine, evidence-based research, data analysis, and software development to make complex clinical and academic processes easier to understand and use.

He is the founder and independent maintainer of AchaWaqat, a growing collection of free clinical, research, and educational resources. The platform includes more than 220 clinical calculators across 20 specialties, evidence-linked scoring tools, validated research scales, and interactive medical-learning experiences. Through the DoctorWithData research suite, he also develops browser-based tools for systematic reviews, study planning, screening, risk-of-bias assessment, statistics, and meta-analysis.

Research

His published research covers student mental health, self-medication, mindfulness, first-aid education, and the application of artificial intelligence in early cancer detection. Across these projects, his approach emphasizes careful study design, transparent interpretation, responsible communication of findings, and practical recommendations that can support learners and healthcare communities.

Taimoor is particularly interested in the points where clinical questions meet data: how validated instruments can be implemented accurately, how research workflows can become more transparent, and how digital tools can reduce unnecessary barriers to evidence-based practice. His current and future work includes original research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses, all of which will be documented on this website as they progress from protocol and analysis to preprint and publication.

A portfolio designed to remain useful

This website brings his work together in one place: peer-reviewed publications, ongoing research, clinical calculators, research utilities, educational games, technical projects, and articles explaining the methods and ideas behind them. The aim is not simply to present a portfolio, but to make useful knowledge easier to access, verify, and apply.

Taimoor welcomes thoughtful collaboration in medical research, evidence synthesis, digital health, clinical education, and responsible healthcare technology.
